**Medical Assistant (Urgent Care)** **Job Description** **Position Summary:** The Medical Assistant (MA) in an urgent care setting plays a critical role in delivering efficient, high\-quality care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries. This position requires the ability to work in a fast\-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and assist providers with a wide range of clinical procedures while supporting front office operations as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** **Clinical Duties:** * Rapidly room patients and obtain accurate vital signs * Perform focused patient intake, including chief complaint and brief history * Assist providers with urgent care procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care, incision \& drainage) * Administer medications, vaccines, and injections as ordered * Perform point\-of\-care testing (e.g., COVID, flu, strep, urinalysis, pregnancy tests) * Conduct EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection * Prepare patients for X\-rays and assist with imaging workflow (if applicable) * Clean, stock, and turn over exam rooms quickly between patients * Follow strict infection control and OSHA guidelines **Administrative \& Support Duties:** * Assist with patien...
