**Medical Assistant — Dogwood Dermatology, PC** **About Us** Dogwood Dermatology is a new, independent dermatology practice opening in Staunton, VA, serving patients throughout the Shenandoah Valley. We're building a patient\-focused, energetic, and caring team from the ground up and looking for Medical assistants to join us as a founding member of the clinical staff. **What You'll Do** \*Room patients and prepare them for exams, procedures, and biopsies \*Assist the physician during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology visits \*Take patient histories and document in the EHR \*Set up and assist with procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, etc.) \*Sterilize and maintain instruments and exam rooms \*Handle prescription refill requests and prior authorizations as needed \*Provide patient education on treatment plans and skin care instructions \*Support front\-office workflow during peak times as needed **Qualifications** \*Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; will consider relevant clinical experience in lieu of certification \*Prior experience in dermatology or another specialty practice a plus, but not required \*Desire to work in a fast pace...
