**Academic Hourly Staff Pharmacist** ------------------------------------ ### **McKinley Health Center** #### **Job Summary** Functions as a dispensing pharmacist, filling prescriptions issued by health care providers. Monitors medication profiles for possible harmful drug interactions. #### **Duties \& Responsibilities** * Pharmacy Services + Dispenses pharmaceuticals and medications prescribed by McKinley providers and included in the Health Center formulary. + Counsels patients regarding their drug therapy and possible side effects. + Checks patient medication profiles to avoid harmful drug interactions. + Operates Pharmacy computer system, including data entry, maintenance, back\-up and generation of reports. + Prepares and maintains Pharmacy control records and reports. * Pharmacy Security + Secures emergency stocks of drugs, when needed, from area pharmacies. + Locks and unlocks the Pharmacy when on duty during opening or closing; arms and disarms security system as needed. * Other + Participates in Quality Assessment activities as assigned. + Responsible and accountable to support and ensure a culture of safety, quality and risk management including compliance with ethics. +...
