**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Area Route Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation, training, and facilitation of Route Strategy, and Route Optimization initiatives. **PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Works closely with Area Director of Operations Support and Area Collections Manager to identify priority Divisions with significant routing opportunities. * Provides project management leadership on complex routing initiatives. * Partners with Area Operations Managers to implement route improvements and/or enhancements. * Partners with Area Operations Managers to improve Customer Zeal. * Manages and supports the Route Editor process by aiding with training, the development of productivity goals, route standards, and follow through on the effectiveness of the routing process. * Provides supplemental training, as needed, to Dispatchers and Supervisors on route capability concerns such as tracking, entering metrics, and other key data. * Assesses and supports Divisional leadership in evaluating compliance and meeting established goals; ensures effective closure of outstanding route improvement opportunities identified during audit. * Provides process direction, guidance, and mot...
