Responsibilities: * Screens patient and obtains pertinent information. * Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs. * Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed. * Maintains the exam rooms and work environment. * Provides support to the clinic as needed. Qualifications: **Education** * High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required. **Experience** * Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician\-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. * Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience. * Experience in office clerical activities desirable. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) **Licensure/Certification** * Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re\-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. * ...
