**About this Job** ------------------ At the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), we plan, build, maintain, and protect the transportation systems that connect communities, support commerce, and keep Louisiana moving. DOTD is seeking an **experienced** **Traffic Engineer** to support transportation projects and programs throughtraffic engineering, safety studies, traffic operations, data analysis, signal systems, traffic control, and operational improvements that support safe and efficient travel. This position supports the development, delivery, maintenance, or improvement of transportation infrastructure by applying engineering principles, conducting technical analysis, coordinating projects, and conducting compliance\-related reviews. No prior licensed engineering experience is required — training is provided, with opportunities for career progression and advancement through the Engineering job series.
