**Senior Accountant** **Location:** Bay Area (hybrid) **About the client** In the non\-profit sector **The role** This is a senior hands\-on accounting role reporting to the Controller, with broad exposure across accounting operations and regular visibility with teams outside Finance. It suits someone who has strong technical and audit skills, is comfortable owning systems, and takes a service\-minded approach to supporting colleagues across the organization. **What you'll do** * Lead assigned month\-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations of GL and sub\-ledger accounts, using judgment on discrepancies and non\-routine transactions * Lead preparation of assigned audit areas and escalate higher\-risk issues to the Controller or Accounting Manager * Maintain clear, audit\-ready documentation for management review and financial reporting * Own the cash disbursement and release process, ensuring payments comply with internal policy * Serve as a primary contact with banking and treasury partners and handle research and exception resolution in online banking platforms * Support the corporate card program, including usage monitoring, GL reconciliation, and reso...
