The Purchasing Specialist ensures timely and cost\-effective procurement of materials, maintaining quality and inventory control to support uninterrupted production. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory budgets, while also coordinating with Quality to address supplier issues and maintaining accurate supplier scorecards. Effective communication with production and customers is crucial to ensure prompt delivery and inventory accuracy. **Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):** The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. * Execute purchasing functions to ensure materials are ordered at the best possible price and quality in a timely manner that assures uninterrupted process production while maximizing the economics of inventories * Assure that purchase orders are accurate, organized and written in a timely manner to support the production process. * Manages Approved Supplier List * Works with Quality to manage supplier corrective actions * Maintains supplier scorecards * Effectively communicate with customers and the Production Supervisor to determine the shipping requirements for EST\-arrange...
