As a **Material Handler**, also known as a **Returnable Plastic Container (RPC) Sorter**, you’ll get to hand sort a container weighing about 10 ounces that issued to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods onto pallets for manufacturers. This is a vital role for our sites to ensure we maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy of performance! **Hourly Pay:** $17\.00/hr **Shift(s):** Friday \- Monday: 6:00 AM \- 4:30 PM **Location:** Hammond, LA* Hand stack RPC’s on pallets to appropriate height, following inventory control instructions * Examine products for quality standards * Ensure all trash and debris is removed prior to returning to customer * Wrap sorted pallets and secure for shipment * Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the storage facility * Accurately complete all paperwork to track daily progress * Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On\-Site Manager regularly * High school degree or GED required * Excellent oral and written communication skills needed * Ability to work overtime when needed
