SUMMARY Records payments to customers’ accounts, maintains accounts receivable records, enters accounts payable invoices, and processes accounts payable payments by performing the following duties. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Prepares daily cash deposits and fills out cash control sheet daily. · Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer. · Reconciles cash receipts to bank report at month end. · Generates and mails invoices to customers. · Checks packing slips and bills of lading to ensure that invoices match actual shipment. · Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payments. · Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks. · Issues and enters credits to customer accounts. · Processes customer credit applications, distributes customer credit status reports and maintains credit files. · Answers and follows up on accounts receivable phone inquiries. · Makes collection calls daily to resolve payment issues. · Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts. · Interacts with employees in other departments in or...
