**Position Summary** Nassau Humane Society (NHS) improves the lives of homeless animals in our community by providing them shelter and compassionate care. Our work focuses on adoption services, education about responsible pet ownership, and working to reduce animal overpopulation and homeless pets. The Development Manager is responsible for building and sustaining the fundraising program that supports Nassau Humane Society to provide shelter, medical care, enrichment, adoption services and second chances for animals in need. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Development Manager will manage a coordinated fundraising program that strengthens individual, monthly, corporate and community giving, along with major gifts, donor stewardship and special campaigns. This is a proactive role and needs a fundraiser who can build relationships and turn NHS's mission and impact into compelling opportunities for donors to support.
