**Position Description** ------------------------ Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation's largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Over the years we have worked very hard to keep Seattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound. Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. The Real\-Time Operations Supervisor position is in the Power Operations \& Marketing group. This group's mission is to reliably and cost effectively serve City Light's electric load by scheduling the operations of its generation resources and power contracts while meeting environmental considerations. This includes marketing surplus energy, transmission, and capacity into wholesale energy markets to maximize value and keep rates low for City Light's customers. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Power Operations and Marketing. Real\-Time Power Marketing is a 365\-day, 24\-hour desk.
