**Position Information** ------------------------ The purpose of this classification is to provide engineering and construction support for Water \& Sewer Projects as pertaining to County infrastructure and departmental operations. projects and activities managed by the County. **Essential Functions** ----------------------- The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Develops engineering specifications for project construction based on programming assessment, design concepts, fundamental engineering principles, and approved preliminary plans; Calculates cost estimates and identifies resources needed for projects; provides technical assistance throughout the project. Participates in bid preparation, contractor selection, and acts as County liaison for water and sewer projects working with contractors, citizens, and County staff to complete projects.
