Assists in the operation of office as it relates to scheduling, referrals, and filing, as needed by practices. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS****:** * Performs basic medical care under the direction of Physician or Registered Nurse as allowed by scope; documents care as required/necessary. * Assists in preparing patients to see the physician. * Shares observations of the progress of the patient reaching established goals with the physician. * Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment directions for the physician. * May chart on behalf of the provider when in the exam room.
