**The job** We need a licensed structural engineer in our Phoenix office. You will take projects from the first phone call through construction: size the members, run the lateral, draw the details, answer the contractor, and stamp the set. The work is mostly residential, multifamily, and mixed\-use commercial across Arizona. Wood is the bread and butter. It is not the whole menu. We also design in CMU, cold\-formed and structural steel, concrete, and ICF structures. We are taking on more mid\-sized commercial work. The projects that land on your desk will change. That is the point. You will not sit in a corner and crank calcs. You will talk to architects, builders, and plan reviewers, and you will be the engineer of record on your own jobs. **What you will do** * Design gravity, wind, and seismic systems, foundations, and connections for wood, masonry, cold\-formed and structural steel, and concrete buildings. * Produce construction documents clear enough that the contractor gets it right the first time. * Run your own projects: scope, fee, schedule, and client contact. * Answer plan\-review comments and field questions, and make site visits when a job needs one. * Review and mento...
