VCA Code is growing and looking for experienced **Plan Check Engineers** to join our Plan Review team. Candidates may be considered at the **Plan Check Engineer or Senior Plan Check Engineer** level based on experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications. **Responsibilities** * Review building and structural plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. * Review architectural and structural plans, specifications, and calculations for compliance with applicable codes and standards. * Review structural calculations, including seismic and wind load requirements. * Review applicable building, accessibility, energy, CALGreen, and fire/life\-safety requirements. * Prepare clear and substantive plan check comments with applicable code references. * Respond to technical questions from architects, engineers, contractors, and applicants regarding code requirements and plan review comments. * Assist with complex plan review issues and interpretation of new or updated code requirements. * Utilize electronic plan review software and other applicable technology. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from...
