Duties Description This position is located in the PMS Reconciliation unit of Medicaid Financial Management within the New York State Department of Health Division of Administration, Fiscal Management Group. Under the supervision of an Associate Accountant, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for reconciliation of accounting system activity to federal reports, and identifying and reporting discrepancies. Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent\-permanent competitive status as a Senior Accountant, G18\. Transfer: Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent\-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above G18 and eligible to transfer to Senior Accountant, G18 under Section 70\.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent\-permanent, competitive service in an accounting, auditing or fiscal traineeship at the G14 or G16 level and eligible to transfer to an Accountant Traineeship under Section 70\.1 of the Civil Service Law.
