Summary: To provide strong Middle Management in the daily operations of the Plant Engineering Department. Manages day to day activities related to plant operations, to provide technical expertise in the area of skilled trades and the ability to assist employees/managers in identifying improvements. To direct, manage and measure the daily activities of the Plant Engineering Staff. The Engineering Operations Manager must be able to manage multiple responsibilities and provide support to the Director of Plant Engineering. This position coordinates the management of safety requirements, equipment maintenance, contracts and coordination with vendors and service personnel. To insure the Plant Engineering Department utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System to perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance, all code compliant inspections and insure documentation and record keeping is complete and up to date.
