**Job Summary** --------------- Serve as Project Manager for Locally Administered VDOT Transportation Projects. Responsible for performing , site plan reviews, and inspection of engineering for transportation, utility, and construction/development projects in the County. **Job Functions** ----------------- **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** * Serves as the transportation engineer for the County by project managing locally administered projects; reviewing and providing comments on development proposals as part of the land use application process; coordinating with the Planning Department on transportation grants and CIP projects; developing a public facilities manual; and providing other transportation engineering needs identified by the County. issues. * Plans, organizes and directs the design and construction of capital improvement projects; ensuring compliance with County utility and development policies, rules and regulations * Acts as Contract Administrator for infrastructure projects * Reviews subdivision and site plans for utility extensions for compliance with codes, regulations, and design; conducts inspections * Develop and revise utility ordinances, design standards, and policie...
