**Job Summary** The Bridge Design Engineer\-in\-Training (EIT) is an entry\-level structural engineering position responsible for supporting the analysis, design, rehabilitation, inspection, and construction of transportation structures under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). This role is intended to provide progressive technical training and practical experience in the application of structural engineering principles, industry standards, and engineering best practices. The EIT assists with all phases of structural project delivery, including planning, structural analysis, modeling, design, detailing, cost estimating, plan preparation, and construction support for new, rehabilitated, and repaired transportation structures. Projects may include bridges, tunnels, culverts, retaining walls, signs, signals, and other transportation infrastructure.
