Role Purpose The Technical Account Manager (vCIO) is responsible for bridging technical strategy, client advisory, solution design, and sales support across the Managed Services organization. This role combines elements of an MSP Solutions Engineer, vCIO, and Sales Engineer to help ensure clients are receiving the right technology guidance, proposed solutions are technically sound, and internal teams are aligned on standards, strategy, and execution. This position serves as a senior technical and strategic resource for both clients and internal teams. The Technical Account Manager (vCIO) helps assess client environments, identify risks and opportunities, build technology roadmaps, support proposal development, assist with technical discovery, and guide solution recommendations that align with client business needs and company standards. The role works closely with Sales, Account Management, Directors of Managed IT, the IT Operations Manager, Project Engineers, Help Desk leadership, Compliance resources, and client stakeholders.
