**POSITION OVERVIEW** --------------------- **Applications accepted from: ALL PERSONS INTERESTED** **Service Line/Section:** Engineering \& Construction/Infrastructure/Transportation **Reporting Location:** 611 Walker Street 17th Floor, Houston, TX **Workdays \& Hours:** Monday\-Friday/8:00a.m. \- 5:00p.m.**\*** * Subject to change **DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** Provide technical expertise in the administration and supervision of design and construction of Capital Improvement Projects such drainage, paving, water and wastewater projects. Prepare and/or review design and construction plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates. Review and process contracts, invoices and pay estimates, supplemental agreements or appropriations, change orders, request for information and request for council action. Attend and conduct design/construction progress meetings and on\-site field observations/inspections. Supervise and manage design consultants and construction contractors.
