**Job Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Directs and coordinates the purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution, maintenance and ancillary supply of food service items for the agency while protecting the public, our employees and our inmate (safety) goods. * Interviews, hires, evaluates and trains all warehouse and business employees. * Ensure proper inspections of all warehouse merchandise received, proper rotation of goods and verifying accuracy of all transactions and records. * Ensure the receipt for proper credit on items damaged and/or outdated. * Relays credit to accounting sections or electronically credits accounts. * Provide rehabilitation and self\-improvement opportunities for inmates. * Serve as a CDL\-A driver as needed. * Promote professional excellence, fiscal responsibility and self\-sufficiency. * Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in order to drive canteen delivery vehicle for transportation of products from warehouse to institutional canteens. * Must be able to lift sixty (60\) pounds. **Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:** **Recruiting and Employment Services** ...
