**Surgical Medical Assistant** **Valley Dermatology Associates – Yakima, WA** Valley Dermatology Associates is looking for an experienced, dependable, and patient\-focused Surgical Medical Assistant to join our growing dermatology team. This is a hands\-on clinical position supporting our providers with Mohs surgery, excisions, biopsies, repairs, wound care, and other dermatologic procedures. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable in a fast\-paced surgical environment, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience. **What You'll Do** * Prepare patients and surgical rooms for Mohs, excisions, biopsies, repairs, and other procedures * Assist providers during surgical and dermatologic procedures * Prepare instruments, trays, medications, dressings, and supplies * Maintain sterile technique and follow infection\-control and safety protocols * Clean, sterilize, inspect, and organize surgical instruments and equipment * Accurately document patient information and surgical care in the electronic medical record * Assist with specimen labeling, documentation, tracking, and pathology coordination * Assist with wound care, dressings, post\-operative care, and su...
