Position Summary: The successful Project Engineer should be an Engineer in Training (EIT) or be able to obtain EIT within 6 months. Success in this position requires a person who can adapt to a variety of personalities and business conditions and can work within a multidisciplinary team. The person must possess skills in problem solving and critical thinking, and must be steadfast in the execution of assigned duties. The person needs to be an effective leader and collaborator with an ability to manage a fleet of Soil/Concrete Technicians, Special Inspectors, and Laboratory staff. Responsibilities: * Manages special inspectors and technician staff * Manages projects (bridges, roadway, schools, and commercial) and associated geotechnical budgets * Prepares and reviews inspection and observation reports submitted to various agencies and other clients. * Strong knowledge of soils and foundation characterization and engineering. * Plans, assigns, prioritizes, evaluates, and reviews the work of special inspectors and technicians, and support staff for consistency, accuracy, timeliness, conformance to guidelines, and technical merit. * Oversees the preparation and submission of timely rep...
