ROLE AND RESPONSIBILTIES Organize, plan, and lead maintenance activities relating to mechanical maintenance. Manage equipment repair and PM’s. Establish priorities, direct field and shop repairs and equipment. Assists in major repairs and technical projects. Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts. Ensure that all maintenance work is done in a safe manner in accordance with DSC safety policies, practices, and procedures. Train employees on established safety and maintenance rules and regulations. Conducts safety meetings with subordinates on a regular basis. Maintains a high degree of housekeeping. Coach and mentor in\-house mechanical team members. Evaluate employee work performance and assist maintenance superintendent with corrective action when needed. Safety implementation of effective safety programs and all EHS and MSHA policy and procedures. Positive two\-way communication, fair and consistent administration of the company policy and procedures. Compliance with all division/facility policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
