**ABOUT THE ROLE** We run a group of owner\-led trade and service businesses (painting, chimney services and promotional products), and the numbers need an owner of their own. You'll keep the books clean across several entities and tell leadership what those numbers mean. There is no controller above you (it is a path for you to grow into).. You'll work directly with ownership and have real say in how we manage money as we grow. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** * **Run the books.** Keep QB ledgers for each company, process AP and AR, reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly, maintain the chart of accounts, and file sales, use and local taxes. * **Handle payroll.** Run or review payroll with our third\-party provider and make sure it ties to the books. * **Report on a steady schedule.** Produce monthly P\&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements, budget\-vs\-actual by business unit with variance commentary, and a simple dashboard (cash on hand, gross margin, A/R aging). Top management meets weekly with your input, too. * **Know what each project earns.** Build job costing and profitability reports for our project\-based divisions so we can see which work makes money. * **Watch the cash.**...
