**Summary** ----------- **Organizational Location:** This position is with the Department of Homeland Security; within U.S. Customs and Border Protection; in the Office of Field Operations (OFO); Washington, D.C. For more information about U.S. Customs and Border Protection, please visit https://www.cbp.gov/about. **Duties** ---------- As Executive Director, Operations, in the Office of Field Operations (OFO), you will assist in carrying out CBP's priority mission of securing our Nation's borders and protecting the United States homeland by providing proactive oversight of daily operations at 20 major Field Offices, over 300 ports of entry, and 15 Preclearance Stations in Canada, Ireland, and the Caribbean. You will oversee daily field operations by: managing all aspects of the Field Offices and exercising line authority over the Field Offices and ports of entry; assuring that OFO national policy is effectively disseminated and implemented at the Field Office and port levels; and maintaining an effective inspection program to evaluate the management and success of field operations.
