Reports to: Area Manager Department: Head Start Classification: Full\-time Status: Non\-Exempt **Position Summary:** This position is a ten\-month position. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the teacher to maintain a program that includes an organized series of experiences designed to meet the needs of all participating children and assisting and utilizing parents in alternative ways to foster the learning and development of their children. This position will be responsible for transporting and/or monitoring the children to and from school and to and from field trips, as needed. This position is directly responsible for maintaining adult: child ratio in the classroom. This position will work with the Teacher and is responsible for the day\-to\-day operations of the classroom, assisting teaching a classroom of 15\-20 three\- to five\-year\-old children. Work is performed under the supervision of the Area Manager, and reviewed through regular supervision, reports, and program achievements. **Knowledge and Experience:** * Clean classroom areas the children use daily. * Daily Child Observations\-observe and take notes while in class with children.
