### **Description** DRMP is seeking a motivated **Traffic Design Engineer** to join our growing Transportation team. This role is ideal for an engineer with a passion for **traffic operations, safety, and roadway design support**, who is eager to contribute to impactful transportation projects across North Carolina and beyond. Your engineering assignments may include signal and intelligent transportation systems design, signing, pavement marking, work zone traffic control, and supporting **DOT and municipal transportation projects**. You’ll be working closely with roadway designers, planners, and senior traffic engineers to develop high\-quality traffic plans and technical documentation. ### **What you will lead:** * Perform **traffic engineering and traffic design tasks** for roadway, intersection, and corridor improvement projects. * Assist with the preparation of **traffic signal and signal communication plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and work zone traffic control plans in accordance with MUTCD and state DOT standards**. * Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and documentation for DOT and municipal clients. * Coordinate with roadway, drainage, and planning teams to ...
