All internships are paid full\-time summer of 2027 positions Summary of Work Our team performs a wide range of duties, including highway construction, engineering, and administration, as well as roadway, bridge, and roadside maintenance. We also conduct traffic engineering, highway sign maintenance, materials testing, equipment and vehicle upkeep. The operation of rest areas and visitor centers within our district are also part of our district’s responsibilities. This internship will provide a quality experience with construction inspection, survey and field office work. You will also conduct field sampling and testing of construction materials and interpret plans for the projects you are working on.
