We have an exciting new opportunity for a full\-time bilingual Medical Assistant for our medical office. We are in search of an energetic, friendly and helpful person to assist patients and guests. This person will be responsible for: **DUTIES:** **Administrative Duties** (may include, but not limited to): * Using computer applications * Answering telephones * Welcoming patients * Updating and filing patient medical records **Clinical Duties** (may include, but not limited to): * Taking medical histories * Explaining treatment procedures to patients * Preparing patients for examination * Assisting the physician during exams * Instructing patients about medication and special diets * Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician * Transmitting prescription refills as directed * Taking electrocardiograms * Removing sutures and changing dressings **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:** · High School Diploma or equivalent · Medical Assistant Diploma · Minimum 2\-year experience preferred · Current CPR Card · Good command of oral and written English language · Knowledge of basic computer skills including Excel and Word · Bilingual (Spanish required) **This is an urge...
