**Nature of Work** ------------------ The Case Management Specialist (CMS) positions are designed to provide direct clerical, research, quality assurance, and technical support to the assigned forensic pathologist(s) to facilitate case management workflow and the completion of reports and documents associated with medicolegal death investigations. The CMS positions link the separate, diverse, and interconnected sections of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) and the individual forensic pathologist(s). These positions assist the physician in gathering the information, documents, and evidence required to supplement the autopsy findings to determine the cause and manner of death for the cases. The CMS positions serve as a point of contact for stakeholders outside of the office in a particular case or investigation and facilitate the dissemination of information and completed reports to authorized recipients.
