Each patient, each family, each and every time. **Job Summary:** The Medical Assistant may assume the following responsibilities: Verifies patient information by interviewing patient with two patient identifiers; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit or treatment. Reports to PAT RN any area of concern and revision of chart. Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to their bed; providing procedural gowns and drapes; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment. Conducts quality checks. Taking vital signs. Participates in the standardized education of patients through written instructions and answering questions as directed by provider.
