Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping/receiving, and inventory maintenance. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor is included in the recruiting and hiring of warehouse personnel, labor planning and workload allocation, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. * Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas * Manage the periodic maintenance of all equipment, fixtures and fabric on warehouse premises * Develop and maintain a productive work team through training and professional development * Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service * Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel * Maintain effective internal control over product flow and inventory * Manage and maintain adherence to both customer and company standard operating procedures to allow the accurate, timely, and safe handling of goods. * Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations * Recommend measures to improve the quality of service and increase efficiency of department * Participate in the selection process of new personnel, tra...
