PRIMARY FUNCTION The Floater will perform quality team\-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. Supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the pediatric patient population. The Laboratory Medical Assistant Floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will be working in various offices to support in either the MA role or a dedicated Lab station. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list may not include all the duties that may be assigned. 1\. Performs laboratory testing procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology and Spirometry. 2\. Reports laboratory results to a healthcare clinician. Alerts the healthcare clinician of any critical or out\-of\-range values and documents critical reports. 3\. Performs phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. 4\.
