### **Steel Shipping Supervisor – Loadout Operations** **Location:** Cocoa Beach, FL **Job Type:** Contract\-to\-Hire **Shift:** 1st Shift **Starting Pay:** $26\.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience ### **Position Summary** Hiring a **Steel Shipping Supervisor** to coordinate the movement and shipment of structural steel from the fabrication facility. This role combines hands\-on material handling with team leadership, shipment coordination, documentation, and safety oversight. ### **What You’ll Do** * Direct daily steel loadout and shipping activities. * Confirm steel is properly identified, positioned, secured, and ready for delivery. * Check material markings, load contents, and shipping paperwork for accuracy. * Work with logistics, production, and shop personnel to keep deliveries on schedule. * Complete load tickets and maintain shipping records using production/shipping software. * Train and assist new employees with department procedures and equipment. * Lead daily safety discussions and reinforce required safety practices. * Monitor workflow and recommend improvements to shipping and loadout processes. * Provide hands\-on direction to the team in a busy s...
