Duties Description Under the supervision of the Transportation Maintenance Engineer, the incumbent will provide engineering assistance to the Resident Engineer. The responsibilities may include the development of maintenance projects for incorporation into the Capital Program, development of the Residency Pavement Management Plan, review of transportation projects for maintenance issues, oversight of maintenance work done by contract, investigation of claims, and work with Residency staff to determine work needs and plans. The engineer will also assist with providing oversight of environmental, building facilities, and snow and ice programs. Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).\* To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, or 55 b/c, candidates must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications for this position.
