GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Under the direction of the Equipment Engineering Manager, the Mechanical/Software Integration Engineer I performs mechanical and software integration engineering assignments of a wide complexity, under general direction, and with considerable discretion as to work methods. In addition, the position is responsible for management of projects of varying size, complexity and duration, while providing oversight for other team members performing CAD drafting, ERP entry, and other support functions. This position may be expected to assume full engineering responsibility for one or more equipment product lines after initial orientation and training. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Designs, modifies designs, and evaluates complex mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems. * Manages all phases of design projects of varying size and complexity. * Performs developmental and/or test work which requires a knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering theory and design. * Compiles and evaluates design and test data and prepares technical specifications. * Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches necessary to meet production requirements f...
