**Position Description** ------------------------ Provides meal program and educational support to Adventure Central as part of the youth development program. **Duties/Responsibilities** --------------------------- **To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform essential duties to expected performance standards. Reasonable accommodations are made as required for persons with disabilities as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act.** * Coordinates kitchen and food service activities including the planning, preparation and clean\-up of meals. * Ensures excellent food safety practices. * Prepares menus according to food program requirements and requests appropriate supplies for meals and other activities. * Manages all food and non\-food related inventory for the kitchen. * Works within the budget to balance expenses and revenues. * Responsible for ensuring safe practices within the kitchen. * Incorporates youth in the meal process and uses meals as a teaching tool and learning opportunity for program participants, staff and volunteers. * Recruits, supports and supervises volunteers in kitchen activities. * Supervise and support teens as part of program workf...
