The College of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants to apply for the position of Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for daily accounting activities within the department. While maintaining the integrity of the University's fiscal policies and procedures, this position's primary responsibilities are travel reimbursements, accounts payable and receivable, ledger reconciliation, and contract processing. This position also assists the Business Manager in managing a 20\-million\-dollar expense budget. Travel: * Submits travel requests * Processes travel reimbursements (expense reports) * Monitors departmental travel spending Processes conference registrations for payment * Accounts Payable/Receivable, Pay Funding Changes, Equipment: * Processes procurement card transfer vouchers, invoices, petty cash reimbursement requests, client adjustments, client refunds * Manually reposts expenses * Processes entertainment expenses as per UT policy * Assigns appropriate account and G/L code to accounts payable and transfers * Prepares and processes bank deposits * Makes effort certification entries, obtaining approvals * Coordinates inventory surplus * Processes pay/f...
