Description

The Manager of Supply Chain Planning (also known as Planning Manager or PM) is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the successful execution of a division operating plan for a Harbor Freight Tools Main Distribution Center (MDC). The PM owns all tools and processes related to multi shift and multi\-site planning across various horizons (daily, monthly, quarterly, annually). The PM will ensure the operating plan is fully calibrated based on forecasts and DC labor capability. This includes following up to variances in performance to plan with operations leadership, comparing actual volumes to forecast, and making the necessary adjustment to align tools to the current state of the business. The PM maintains the operating plan, and prepares all requisite outputs for SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning). With strategic guidance and partnership from the Sr. Manager of Operations Planning, the PM coordinates with MDC Senior leadership (OMs, AGMs, and GMs) to secure buy in to the operating plan, submits staffing requests to Talent Acquisition, and prepares business cases for equipment need based on volume movements or the introduction of new processes to the operating model.
