**Job Description** **DUTIES:** Capture information from a variety of sources inside and outside GM, building and running analytical models, interpreting results for customers, attending development team meetings, interacting with compartment integration teams. Participate in the development of new engineering analysis capabilities. Participate in Product Development teams on new, major, and minor designs, providing analysis to assess performance of new designs. Develop methods for problem root cause analysis and identification. Build Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models from CAD solid models. Perform structural analysis on complete Trimmed Vehicle Structure consisting of BIW, Chassis Structure, Interior Structure (IP), Fixed Glass, Bumpers, Modules (i.e. CRFM, Battery), and Closures. Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other analysis methods to assess designs. work interactively with the Product Development Teams (PDT’s) to share analysis results, provide design recommendations, and assure that product requirements are met and validated.
