**Job Description – Precision Laser** *Service Technician* **Summary:** As a Service Technician you will be required to. Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and adjust various types of precision instruments used in the construction, surveying and engineering fields. Complete repairs and installations in a safe and timely manner. Install new parts when needed to assure that the service unit is working to factory and Precisions Laser’s expectations. Perform the duties listed below and any additional duties listed on a detailed job description that accompany this general description. **Duties and Responsibilities:** Including but not limited to the following. * Pre\-inspects systems or units upon assignment from Shop Manager. * Applies knowledge and ability to perform technical repairs according to schedule. * Diagnose and troubleshoots problems with appropriate test equipment to determine most efficient course of action. * Create Service Estimates and determine repair cost in order to obtain authorization prior to beginning the service process. * Completes service in a timely manner. * Recommends and explains additional service when needed. * Finalizes service order information to includ...
