Summary: UNC Hospitals Department of Pharmacy has an immediate opening for a highly motivated pharmacist interested in joining our UNC Gastroenterology (GI) Medicine Clinic at Eastowne in Chapel Hill. The successful Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) will play an integral role in the care of patients within the Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing (CEDAS) and establish a dedicated H. pylori management clinic. The Gastroenterology CPP will serve as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on the interdisciplinary health care team and will provide clinical support to gastroenterologists, other APPs, nurses, and ancillary staff. The CPP will manage short\-term follow\-up for patients initiating specialty GI therapies, provide medication counseling and injection training in the CEDAS Clinic, and lead comprehensive H. pylori assessment, treatment, and test\-of\-cure follow\-up.
