**About Us** Certified Multimedia Solutions (CMS) is an established union electrical contractor based in Farmingdale, NY. We are looking for a hands\-on Staff Accountant to own the day\-to\-day bookkeeping for a busy electrical construction accounting environment. **Responsibilities** * Process weekly payroll and enter payroll bills into QuickBooks * Job costing \- code labor, union benefits, material, and subcontractor costs to projects * Accounts receivable: customer billing, invoicing, payment applications (AIA format), and collections * Accounts payable: vendor bill entry, payment scheduling, and check runs * Daily banking: deposits, check preparation, and bank account monitoring * Bank and account reconciliations * General QuickBooks data entry and file maintenance * Support month\-end close and assist with reporting as needed * Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets used for tracking, reconciliations, and reporting * Maintain thorough records of all transactions to ensure accuracy and transparency **Qualifications** * 2\+ years of bookkeeping or staff accounting experience (electrical construction or contracting environment strongly preferred) * Proficiency in accounting soft...
