Duties Description Under the direction of a Senior Transportation Analyst or licensed Professional Engineer, the incumbent would perform a variety of duties depending on the assignment. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to: Perform technical activities in support of various transportation projects and/or program areas in the planning and design including providing guidance, assistance, coordination and support to consultants, municipalities, and other involved parties as appropriate, responding in a timely manner to written and verbal requests regarding project status. Define project scope and objectives and determine methods to be used for selecting and evaluating data; collect, evaluate, and summarize transportation data, including manipulation of data and information to show effects of different or altered variables on projects, plans and proposals; prepare reports of findings, including recommendations and alternatives, showing basis for conclusions and recommendations; review and monitor technical analyses prepared by others.
