The Town of Southwick is seeking a qualified professional for the position of Assistant Public Works Director. This position works directly with the Public Works Director in the administration, planning, and oversight of DPW operations, including engineering, highway, water, sewer, solid waste, stormwater management, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering and public works projects; managing MS4/stormwater compliance, inspections, and reporting; overseeing consultants and contractors; preparing bid specifications, reports, and grant applications; assisting with departmental budgeting and long\-range planning; and coordinating with Town departments, boards, residents, utilities, and state and federal agencies. The Assistant Director will assume supervisory responsibility for the department during an extended absence of the Director.
