Duties Description Under the direction of a Professional Engineer the incumbent will function as New York Division Team Leader in Structure Inspection within Engineering Services. Incumbents will perform the following engineering and engineering related duties: * Performing and managing the structural and safety inspections of bridges, overhead signs / high mast lighting, bridge culverts, retaining walls and gantries for both in house and consultant personnel. * Complete field inspections in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards, NYSTA policies, and when applicable, NYSDOT policies. * Access structures via various methods (ladder, platform, aerial lifts, UBIU) * Generation of structure inspection reports * Compile schedules and coordinate traffic control * Complete structure inventory updates any other tasks deemed necessary to ensure the sufficient delivery of the structure inspection program for the NYSTA. * Perform ICS and other duties as assigned.
