**Job Summary** --------------- Medical Assistants provide non\-licensed medical support to medical care providers in an outpatient setting. Incumbents room patents; set up equipment and instruments; independently perform, and/or assist providers with performing, exams and procedures, including administering injections; with proper provider authorization, provide instructions, training and advice to patients; call in prescriptions; clean and calibrate equipment; clean and stock exam rooms; and provide proper documentation in patient chart. Incumbents may also provide front office services on a routine or back\-up basis. Positions at this level provide the full range of duties described above.
